Transform Your Bathroom With A Corner Tub!

City dwellers with small apartments and even smaller bathrooms often think their only option cleaning their body is a small bathtub shower stall. Shower stalls are a popular option because they take up minimum space and fit into any bathroom.

The problem is that most people love taking a bath. It is more about the relaxation than the cleansing part that appeals to most. The idea of escaping to warm bath on a cold winter night, or having a romantic evening with candles and champagne in a small jetted bathtub is good for the soul. Why should anyone have to forgo that pleasure? Small corner bathtubs are an amazing option to consider.

Well with today’s new designs in bathtubs, almost anyone can fit a bathtub into their bathroom, no matter what size. Small corner bathtubs fit nicely into a corner of the bathroom taking up minimal space, but still providing enough room to bath comfortably. Some corner tubs are set up on a pedestal, allowing for a deeper tub and requiring less length. The longest length on the side not in the corner can typically be the traditional 5 foot length or shorter, but still allow for a full grown man to submerge most of his body.

The design is a modern compliment to any bathroom with fiberglass in any color or style. The deeper corner tubs can be equipped with Jacuzzi jets to create a nice little oasis for the bather. Small corner bathtubs are a great option for a small bathroom with little space. A shower head can be installed above it as well providing the option of a shower or a bath.

The bathtub originated as an upright barrel filled with water and with a stool in it for sitting. The Japanese stuck with this idea in their tub designs, while western civilization tubs evolved into a shallower design with longer length where a person could recline until the water reached their desired depth. Since a barrel really has no length, it was not a comfortable bath. The new deeper bathtubs with shorter length however, still allow for reclining to a comfortable position giving the person the depth they need and positioning needed for relaxation. Small corner bathtubs fit into the corner of the room allowing for more space in the bathroom.

Back in the day, small deep bathtubs were the only means of washing yourself. There were no showers and so a bath wasn’t for comfort but just to get the job done. People didn’t luxuriate in a bath, but rather got in, washed up and got out – similar to the way we shower today. People didn’t bathe every day and in some countries there were even laws dictating when bathing could take place and who could bath. But we have come a long way since then and when showers were introduced to the mass population, it was a much quicker way to wash.

Instead of having to wait to fill a tub and empty it, a person would just get under the water, soap up, rinse off and be done with it. Baths became a matter of relaxation when one had the time to soak. Nowadays, with the variety of tubs available from large Jacuzzi style tubs to small corner bathtubs. Not a daily occurrence in anyone’s life, a bath is a pleasure reserved for those times when we can take some time for ourselves.
